Privacy Policy

Timeloom (“Timeloom,” “we,” “us”) lets you generate and explore AI-imagined 360° panoramas of places across history. This policy explains what data the app and website handle, and why. We keep it minimal on purpose: Timeloom has no accounts, and we do not ask for your name, email, or social logins.

Information we process

  • Anonymous app identifier. The first time you open Timeloom, a random identifier is generated and stored on your device. It is sent with requests so we can keep track of your journey credits and the panoramas you’ve generated. It is not linked to your real identity and cannot be used to contact you.
  • Generation inputs. When you create a panorama, the place and year you choose are sent to our servers and AI image provider to produce the image.
  • Approximate location (optional). If you grant location permission, your device location is used only to center the map. You can decline this and Timeloom still works; we do not store your location.
  • Purchases. If you buy credit packs, the purchase is processed by Apple and our payments partner RevenueCat. We receive a record that a purchase occurred (product and a transaction id) so we can add credits to your anonymous identifier. We never receive your card or full payment details.
  • Basic technical data. Like most internet services, our servers may log standard request information (such as IP address and timestamps) transiently for security and reliability.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your data.
  • We do not show third-party advertising.
  • We do not build advertising profiles or track you across other apps and websites.
  • We do not collect your name, email, contacts, or photos.

Service providers

We share the limited data above only with providers that help run Timeloom: cloud hosting and AI image generation (to create panoramas), RevenueCat and Apple (to process in-app purchases), and Stadia Maps (to render map tiles). Each processes data only to provide its part of the service.

Data retention

Your anonymous identifier and the panoramas tied to it are retained while the app is in use so your credits and history remain available. Transient server logs are kept only briefly. Because there is no account, deleting the app removes the on-device identifier; to request deletion of generations associated with your identifier, contact us using the details below.

Children

Timeloom is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
